The training section of electrical and electronic technology was established in 1999, which mainly develops teaching on electrotechnics and electronic technology curricular experiments and electrotechnics training.

Team of Teachers

Since 1999, the teachers’ structure has been developed gradually in improving the quality and expanding the team. Up to now, the number of the team has been from three to six in all, including two senior title technicians, thrree middle title technicians and one assistant technician. 66.7% of the teachers have master degree, and the others have bachelor degree.

Experimental Courses

The section develops experimental courses and laboratory equipment all along. Now it has not only electrotechnics and electronic technology laboratory, but also electrician training room, electronic training room, PLC training lab, electronic & electrotechnics innovation lab, intelligent household laboratory, machine tool fault diagnosis laboratory and EWB computer simulation room. At present, this training section has independent courses, which covers about 40 non-electric majors on electrotechnics and electronic technology experiments every year in the whole college, about 38 classes on electrotechnics training, about 40 classes on electrotechnics and electronic technology curricular experiments. 4,500 students in the whole college need to take the experimental courses every year, including near 1,000 of excellence class students and near 100 students in the course of innovation. This section has become the main training one about electrotechnics and electronic technology curricular experiments and electrotechnics training on non-electric majors in the whole college.

Practical Teaching

The course of electrotechnics technology curricular experiment is an important technical basic course on non-electric majors in the college of science and engineering. By making the basic experiments, students can test the knowledge obtained that about electrotechnics technology basic theories, meanwhile, the ability of practical training by their hands will be improved. And after students make the systematic experiments and innovative design experiments, it is effectively developed that students' creative thinking, rigorous, scientific style of work and the quality of the knowledge applied comprehensively, which is helpful for students to lay the foundation that they will work on science and research and related major in the future.

By electrotechnics training, students learn the basic knowledge of safety utilization of electronics, understand the basic structure and function on the low-tension circuit, master the operating principle and connection of electrical control circuit, and then test and remove control circuit fault. Meanwhile, students master the basic knowledge of the circuit components, such as resistors, capacitors, varistors, diodes, voltage regulators, transistors and so on. Students can not only weld three kinds of voltage stabilizing circuits and know their working principle, but also use correctly electronic instruments to measure the related parameters. Furthermore, students can analyze and judge independently circuit fault and correct it. And the electrotechnics training requires students to master the basic programming and connection skills of PLC.
